Worth the trip. So much to do. Bakery. Gelato. Restaurants. European pastries. Merry go round. Community events. Shops. Outdoor rentals. Swimming. Access nearby to the crater. Adventure rentals. Conference space. Nice facilities and rooms. Proximity to Park City ski resorts is good.
We stayed for an overnight. We played mini golf on the property and it is rather gross. There are no boundaries and it is not well maintained. They need to update everything on the property. It is outdated and not keeping up with the times. The staff is very friendly and super nice. They are what made this stay awesome! The bed was a good sleep and we enjoyed ourselves.
I paid for an "anniversary package" which I had to coordinate with the concierge. Flowers and champagne were to be delivered to our room while we were at dinner. The "premium" buffet left us nonplussed. The prime rib was over cooked to the point that it was more like a roast. Then when we got back to the room nothing was there. I went to the front desk and spoke to a woman who was working. She had me speak to Matt. I had told the lady that at 10pm we were past the point of wanting the champagne due to the time as well as the hassle of even having to ask for it. So Matt said to me "I can have something brought up for you in a few minutes but from what you told her you don't even want anything". I was taken aback at how he spoke to me seeing as he is in the hospitality industry. I asked about our breakfast vouchers that were included and was told that they would figure it out and slide the vouchers under the door. We went to bed with the Do not disturb card on our door. A half hour later our phone rang and they said they had our vouchers but due to the card they could not slide them under the door. Let that sink in. They couldn't "disturb" us, but they called anyways.
First, the staff was very welcoming on check in. The positives end there.
This morning i went to the front desk and spoke with Virginia. She seemed genuinely embarrassed and seemed to share my frustration. However, i was refunded a whole $54 on my $300 hotel bill. Basically, i was refunded not even half of the package that i paid for but got nothing from (the crater and dinner were separate) to include breakfast.
Smaller than I assumed before driving there, but a nice little place. My wife and I shared the combo with two meats and two sides and I was really enjoyed it. Great barbecue sauce! Service was okay, but could have been better. It was pretty late so I'm sure that didn't help.
My husband and I love this hotel! We've come here for our last 3 anniversaries and have loved it. The pool is probably our favorite part about coming here. They have a beautiful waterfall that flows right into the hot tub. They also have a great location, as they are only a few minutes away from Park City. 5/5, would stay again!
My s/o and I decided to take a weekend away. We are loyal to the Hilton brand but the Waldorf in Park City could not accommodate a last minute reservation so we thought we would try something new. Big mistake.
In the future, we will stick to the brands that we know will deliver a quality experience.
The refund is insulting, to say the least.
