If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding, this is the place to do it! We had over 100 people at the wedding, with almost all of them staying at the resort the entire weekend, and everyone had only good things to say about the resort. Thanks you so much Jamie and staff for making our day perfect. :)
Oh, speaking of bathrooms... I had a lovely collection of a previous guest's hair all over the floor and in the tub.
The first thing I noticed as I approached my room was a pile of tools under a tree. My room was very dated, which I can get over if it is generally maintained. The couch looks like something my grandmother had. The decorations are framed quilt pieces that are faded from sunlight. The door to the patio was unlocked, as was the chain lock on the screen. The curtain in the window did not close all the way; I used a pin to keep it closed. A tile in the bathroom was cracked, the non-fluffy carpet had a rip in it. All of the tile work looks like the grout was installed by someone who watched a video on YouTube before going at it for the first time, unsupervised by anyone who knows what they are doing and unchecked by anyone who cares how the rooms look. Dust everywhere. I mean, at least dust the stuff that is right in front of people's faces. The fan in the bathroom was so loud I didn't dare use it. The people upstairs might have thought a demon was clawing its way through their floor.
Such a beautiful place. I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes a beautiful and relaxing get away. It also features the crater in which you can swim in or even scuba dive. The service here is 5 stars worthy. Once a year there is an event that is held close by called Swiss Days and it is just amazing. I love this place and this is where I proposed to my fiance because of the sentimental value it holds. If you're looking for a nice place to stay for a weekend, definitely worth it here.
We spent a week here. It is located in a beautiful area. The hot spring they have was amazing. The room was very small and the amenities were pretty basic being a resort. I felt it was a little over priced. It is best for wanting to be close to the outdoors, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and relaxing.
The room was nice and cozy with a large jetted tub. Very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner at Simon's was very good and the portions were perfect for not over stuffing yourself. The grounds are also very lovely. Great place to stay and we'll be back.
I was excited to stay here on business because of friends raving about it over the years. Also because, being in a tourist area, a resort probably pulls out all the stops. I was also happy to see that even rack rates are super reasonable, and I was getting a group discount on top of it!
A resort with two full service restaurants, a golf course, and a stunning lobby with rooms I might expect at a run down, pay by the hour motel. Pitiful.
Instead, my room should not have been rented to anyone and if I had realized all the issues before I was getting ready to go to bed I would have requested a different one. I want to think that this really is a nice place and I am just the unfortunate one that an occasional one-off problem happened to. But I have had friends comment on my social media pictures that they had similar experiences.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here over Labor Day weekend, and could not have asked for a more beautiful venue or better staff. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the wedding coordinator Jamie made everything so easy and smooth, not only on the day of but also on the months and weeks leading up to it.
